The Festival Theatre at Pitlochry offers popular plays and concerts
daily from May to October. The Perth Repertory Theatre is also
very good.

Dalmunzie House Hotel, the Spittal Hotel, the Bridge of Cally Hotel,
Glen Isla Hotel and the Log Cabin at Kirkmichael are all within
fifteen minutes drive. They all welcome non residents and offer
a variety of home cooked menus to suit the gourmet and those
on a budget. Slightly further afield you will find an excellent

Sightseeing
Finegand is the ideal base from which to explore the surrounding
countryside. To the north is Royal Deeside, Balmoral and numerous
other castles, to the south is Scone Palace and Glamis (the Queen
Mother's childhood home) and to the west is Blair Castle, seat
of the Duke of Atholl. Pitlochry has a wide range of shops and
you can visit the power station and the salmon ladder which allows
fish to swim upstream to their spawning grounds. Nearby is the
Pass of Killiecrankie, scene of a famous Jacobite victory in
1689, with its excellent visitor centre. Dunkeld is a charming
old cathedral town on the River Tay. You can visit some of the
famous whisky distilleries nearby, including the Royal Lochnagar
distillery near Balmoral and the smallest distillery in Scotland
at Edradour near Pitlochry, or simply follow the "Whisky
Trail" as it winds through Strathspey.
Highland Games
There are many highland games in the area during August and September,
ranging from the famous Royal Braemar Gathering, to the intimate
and friendly gathering at Glen Isla. These offer unique and excellent
entertainment for all the family.
